VSV trainees not only learn, they earn!
Virginia Social Ventures (VSV) is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization located in Norfolk, Virginia. VSV creates and operates nonprofit businesses in the Hampton Roads area which provide a pathway out of poverty through on-the-job training, support services and employment opportunities, decreasing the need for public support and increasing long term economic self-sufficiency.
Our nonprofit businesses train and employ homeless and very low-income people. These social enterprises are real businesses that save the public money by producing income to leverage community funding for social programs. They provide hands-on training in a real-world environment. And, 100% of our net income supports these efforts.
